28mm French Indian Wars

Myself and fellow wargamer Rob recently started talking about reviving our French Indian War projects. We both had a pile of unpainted Warlord Games figures and a copy each of Muskets and Tomahawks (first edition).

I painted up some French regulars and then bought a few packs of indians and French Marines from Galloping Major Miniatures. The latter are quite chunky models, so I've kept them in different units from other Warlord models I have. Warlord figures are nicely detailed but far slimmer than GM.

I've managed to blast through a lot of units by using GW Contrast Paints and Army Painter Speed Paints. I picked up the speed paint mega set from Partizan Wargames Show the other week. It was the last one left on the Caliver Books stall. I rate the speed paints very highly. An undercoat of GW Wraithbone and these colours really pop. Try them out if you get chance.

My French Force is almost complete, and now I'm moving on to the British. These are some Galloping Major Anglo-Americans:

Here are the Warlord Games French Marines and Frontiersmen in canoes:

From the amount of figures we're painting it shouldn't be long before I can post up a battle report or two!
